I am writing to you this Friday after a very productive teacher workshop day. I hope our students got as much done today as we did! I have some very important information for you, so please read carefully.
Module 1 Ending Soon
The last day of instruction for Module 1 is Friday, October 16. Students should be working hard to wrap up their work during this upcoming week.
Choosing Classes for Module 2
The first day of module 2 will be on Thursday, 10/22. But, before we can get started, we need to build a schedule for each student. To do this we need ALL students to complete the survey as soon as possible. We will be using your answers on this survey in order to place you in classes that you want and need. In order to complete the survey, you will need to know which competencies you still need to earn. To do this, you need to log in to Project Foundry and review your performance page. If you are a returning student, you probably know how to do this. If you are a new student, don’t worry. Check out a short video of me explaining how to log in. You will need to know your Next email address and your Next lottery number. If you need your lottery number, please email your advisor.

ILP Meetings
We will be holding ILP meetings on Monday, 10/19 and Tuesday, 10/20. There is no school for students on these days, but we hope students will use this time to complete their outstanding work from Module 1. Your advisor will email you with a link to schedule a meeting with them. Your meeting can be in person at Next or a virtual meeting. When you get that email link it will give you the option to choose either type of meeting. At the meeting we will review your progress from module 1, do some goal setting, and finalize your schedule for module 2. Students AND parents are required at this meeting. If you have questions, please reach out to your advisor.

Monday, 10/12 – No School (Holiday)
Tuesday, 10/13 – Remote Learning Day
Wednesday, 10/14 – PSAT Testing – only 11th grade students will be testing. All other students should stay home and work independently on module 1 tasks.
Thursday, 10/15 – Community Day
Friday, 10/16 Remote Learning Day – LAST DAY of MODULE 1
Monday, 10/19 – ILP Meetings (students work independently at home unless they are at their meeting)
Tuesday, 10/20 – ILP Meetings (students work independently at home unless they are at their meeting)
Wednesday, 10/21 – Community Day
Thursday, 10/22 – Remote Learning Day – FIRST DAY OF MODULE 2
Friday, 10/23 – Remote Learning Day
